Hi,
I'm having trouble setting the color in Windows ME. Everytime I go into control panel to change the colors from 16 colors to 16 bit color, the computer forces me to restart. So I restart the computer and nothing changes. The color are still set at 16 colors!

There should be a sticker on the back of the computer with a service tag number. Let us know what it is and we might be able to locate the necessary drivers.

The video driver may have somehow gotten corrupted & needs to be reinstalled. But if you did a reinstall of WinME & neglected to mention that, my guess would be that the video driver isn't the only driver you'll need to reinstall.
