can't scandisk!!!

Hey guys, i can't seem to scan my com cuz everytime i do it, the scandisk in the middle of scaning would restart.I need help pls!!!!!
Start pc in safe mode (hold down F8 key on the black dos screen on bootup) then when pc is started, run scandisk and see if it completes. On the options tell it to automatically fix errors. Leave the pc till it has finished - don't try and do anything else till it completes or the disk will detect a change and have to start over. While you're in safe mode, run "defrag" from the run prompt, and let that complete too as this is much faster in safe mode.
When all done, reboot and this should resolve the problem. If not, post back here.
