Canīt save in regedit.....?

Is it possible to "replace" regedit everytime I start my Win ME? I have two strings in it who changes back automatically every time I start Windows, Its just not possible to save the changed strings between 2 startups and I am tired of copying my regedit backup every time I start up my system. There must be a way to make a "batch program" or simular who does that automatically when logging in. Please help me...

You would have to disable ScanRegistry from the startup list using msconfig. After 5 days your old copies of the registry that Windows makes should be gone and you can reactivate it. Just make sure you make a manual copy of your existing registry first in case you need it.

What is changing your registry to the point that you have to edit the registry every time you boot up?

Yes... you can make a batch file and stick in the startup folder (start>>programs>>startup)... but there is no guarentee that this will run AFTER the registry has been altered. It may not work.
