I purchased Diablo2 and even though it loads the game, my monitor go blank as if Ive turned it off, I can still hear the music and sound effect from the game, this happends with the other games also.
Heres what I have.
HP Pavilion 8765c
900mhz
128 SDRAM
Nvidia TNT 2 Vanta 3D AGP with 16 SDRAM
any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks

It sounds a but like a graphics card problem.

Try updating the drivers of your TNT2. You can grab them from the Nvidia site.

I dont think that it would be a windows ME problem, I have been running Q3, Halflife, UT, Deus Ex, and Tribes with no problems or crashes on Me.

I hope that helps.

I am having similar problems with a similar system (HP 1 Ghz PIII). Games run slowly and at times lock up. I am very frustrated I thought Win Me was supposed to be better for gaming

The blank screen is probably because of a refresh rate problem. If the refresh rate is too high for the monitor, it usually goes blank. You are going to have to manually set the refresh rate for the resolution(s) that your games use or try the utility HZTOOL which will allow you to set the refresh rates for all resolutions in one shot.

This maybe a problem with the HP systems, get all of the updated drivers and email HP tech support.

I don't think it's restricted to HP systems I think it's a memory problem of some sort. A buddy of mine running a self built system ran into the same sort of problems and swithched to Win2000 (which I am fixing to do as well if I can't figure this out)

I've just bought a new PC and I'm having similar problems. Deus Ex starts to load, but as soon as I skip past the title sequence to the main menu, the game freezes. (although sounds still play). I've downloaded all the new Nvidia TNT2 drivers from the website, but installing them made no difference. I'm on the verge of ditching Windows and ME and returning to my old copy of windows 98 ..... which I'm not even sure I can due due to this "hidden partition" which ME stores itself on. So if anyone comes up with a potential solution, email me on derekhughcrawford@hotmail.com !

Cheers.
