My friend called me with a problem I know nothing about. She was trying to install the game Finding Nemo and her computer just quit.It said Internet Explorer has caused an error must reinstall Windows. She tried that and it didn't work. She has no icons,no start button and no shortcuts.Does anyone know what to do I have no clue.Thanks.

in my opinion... i'd format the harddrive and start over.
1.Set BIOS to startup in the order, 1.floopy, 2.cd-rom, 3.harddrive
put the start up disk in... select with cd-rom support, get to the A: prompt, type format c: select yes, wait until it completes, follow the instructions, put ur windows me cd in when it says to reinstall windows, once that's done, have all ur disks with all ur drivers handy to reinstall them all.
if your not sure, go to the search on the homepage and search... how to format harddrive, you'll find more in depth details.peace

hey aren't you the guy with the ati video card lol.
Follow pakas advice on reformatting.
1.Put Windows Me Boot Disk
2.Reboot. Pick Boot with CD-ROM Support.
3.Type A:/format c:
4.Afterwards, put Windows CD in and type D:/setup. (D depends on your cd-rom drive.)
5.Continue Installation...afterwards get windows updates and drivers for your video card as well.

I'd try to boot to safe mode & see if I could fix it before going thru the hassle of formatting & reinstalling everything...save that for the "last resort"
