Help!!! I have contacted Compaq several times about this problem, they have given me several instructions which I followed to the tee, and nothing has helped. The problem is that I can't print ANYTHING from the internet, not even my e-mail. After I remembered that I didn't have this problem before installing IE 6.0, Compaq will no longer help me at all. Furthermore, once I remembered this, I tried to uninstall the 6.0 and go back to 5.5, and it won't let me. Says something about the maintenance wasn't set up during installation. However, I installed it right from the Microsoft site per their instructions. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the printer, and updating the drivers, as well as all the internal stuff Compaq had me to try. Can someone please help me??? I would be so grateful!!!

This happened to me at least twice. If you haven't tried this yet, give it a shot:

In IE click on File and then click on Print. Make sure your default printer is correct. I don't know how it happened to me, but my default printer was somehow changed to a fax program.

Also, Keep in Mind Ockham’s Razor:
“A rule in science and philosophy stating that entities should not be multiplied needlessly. This rule is interpreted to mean that the simplest of two or more competing theories is preferable and that an explanation for unknown phenomena should first be attempted in terms of what is already known. Also called law of parsimony. [After Ockham, William of.]” (AHD4) [aka Occam]
