Well I got drive "E" in the send to location folder, but now I can not open the drive door. I have highlited the "E" drive icon and used eject icon, but to no avail.
Any way to resolve this problem I have? Disk is in the drive bay with data.

Look for a tiny pinhole on front of the drive. Straighten a paper clip and push it into the hole. It may offer some resistance but continue to push until the drawer opens.

No pin hole? Sometimes you can get it open by pressing eject before windows loads. Turn the pc off, turn it on and start pressing eject.

Damaged [scratched] disks cause this problem for me in my dvd rom.

If there is no pin hole you can always double click on My Computer, Right Click on the CD-ROM drive and choose EJECT but it does not always work. The emergency release hole is the best bet but even if that does not exsist. If you have some nails, as in those on your fingers. One can grap ahole of the opening sometimes and pull the tray out, yes it will make a racket and yes you can cause damage but sometimes ya don't :)

OK. I did use the emergency release. Disk is out. I knew that part, but I thought there was a problem with the program that runs the task of opening the drive door. I do remember this happening to me before but not to often. After trying eject or pushing on the door release button it would work. Know it just won't do it. I will shut off the computer and do what you suggested. I guess the next step would be a new drive? :-) Thank you both for your assistance. Ron

Not neccesarily. Whenever i have the problem its because of a specific disk not the drive. Buying a new drive might not be neccesary.

Thank you " shut me up or down"

While I am here, can I delete "Outlook Express" only and then reload the whole IE6 to get "Outlook Express back?

The reason I ask, is that when I get e-mails with something like "fwd fwd Merry Christmas"
I can not open it. It (computer) tries to open it up with AOL program. Apparently I did something in the e-mail section of OutLook Express. I have tried all that I could think of to stop that, but to no avail.
I figured dumping "Outlook Express" and trying to reinstall it might work. Any sugestions?
