Every time I try to open a Word document my computer freezes and says "Warning? System is running dangerously low on resources". How do I "clean-out" my computer so there are not so many programs running? I only need to use this computer for Microsoft Word, as I am a graduate student.

Niki, something you might consider in addition to user's advice is the fact that ME was known for not properly releasing memory once it was done. Recommend you read/apply 'Trev's Tweaks ...' found @:

REALLY helped me.
