Help me!!!! I got the virus NIMDA, and Norton quarantined the infected file, now I can't launch any .exe files!! I get an error requiring the file sysrnj.exe to launch other .exe files....what do I do?? all I need the file for is to completely start over, but I can't even run deltree in dos to reformat my HD, I even tried format in DOS, but nothing works!! Is there any other way to completely delete my hard drive and start over without having to risk hooking it up to my other computer and corrupting it?? Any help willl be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

sounds like the blebla worm.

if you quarantine the Sysrnj.exe file and then attempt to start programs, you see the error message
"Windows cannot find Sysrnj.exe. This program is needed for opening files of type 'Application'."

hey I also have the same problem however I don't have the worm, I acidentaly deleted the file thinking it was a stupid advertising program. THe program has been removed rfrom the recycle bin. do any of you know a place where I could download a copy of sysrnj.exe thank you all very much

hello! i did not have any virus but none of my exe files are opening and when i am trying to open any word file it says that the sysrnj.exe is missing.
i have refreshed my operating system but the problem is still there. i have win 98 se.
please help me i am getting bugged with this problem

i at first used dave's fix then later downloaded a game from morpheus and I seem to have got the same virus, only now i cannot even get dave's fix to run. ive tried to download it again but it wont open the exe file and if i try to open it from its source it tells me i havent permission. the previous download of the fix which once worked now gives me only an error file which tells me it cannot find the regedit.exe
Please if anyone can help id be most gratefull
