Can't load sound drivers

did you use the motherboard/soundcard cd. is sound on board or on a card. what is make & model# of motherboard/soundcard

HI, Sometimes you have to force feed winme certain drivers... If you KNOW you have the right drivers then direct it exactly TO those drivers and make it take them. ie; show a list of drivers in a specific place then chose the right INF file.
I had a similar problem once and I removed the device from device manager then immediately went to ADD new hardware.. chose the sound device.. and made it use the driver I KNEW was right.
