Comment: Unsuccesfull on install for 98 or ME on my computer. 475AMD, toshibaDVDROM,Lucent WinModem, SBpci16, 96Megs of ram, 13g HD. on winME setup(at detecting plug and play device), gives me fatal exeption errors with the blue screen or cdrmist error or mshtml.dll error and unable to continue with the setup. On Win98 setup, it gives me vmm32.vxd errors or some other errors(about 10 or so), happens on one of the reboots during setup, sometimes the blue screen with a fatal exception error appears, and i am unable to continue. Before the installation i have formatted the hard drive and done scandisk with no errors. I used a full version 98 cd and an upgrade win ME cd. I Would appreciate any help or suggestions from you all.

Reply: (edit)Try dropping the speed of the processor to something below 350MHz until you have installed. Then restore your normal processor speed afterwards

Reply: (edit)Also try removing all the cards except for the video card when you do the install. If that works, add the cards back one at a time to see if thats whats causing the problem.
