Can't get out of safe mode!

I use Windows ME.

I shut my computer down wrong. It's in safe mode right now and I can't get out of it. I've done everything in the windows help menu. I can't reinstall windows because I can't use my CD-rom. I've tried a start up disc, back up disc, uninstalling windows but I can't do that because it was put on the computer when I purchased it so it don't got it in the add/remove files.

Well if you could help that would be great.

try running system restore, choose a restore point when it was working,
start-programs-accessories-system tools-system restore.

Just tried that and it don't work. It restarts the computer then when he gets ready to load to normal mode it shuts down.

run setup.exe from c:\windows\options\install
reinstall to c:\windows
not c:\windows.000

go to your bios and change settings to cdrom detect first instead of floppy and restart with me cdrom in drive.

Both don't work. I shut the computer down wrong and theres an error... do you think scandisk would fix it?
