Can't get IE6 to load fully

I'm running ME, and having downloaded IE6, I can't get it to load fully. The best I can get is 90%, and it hangs.

try starting your computer in safe mode and downloading it that way. this prevents all un-necessary programs from running in the background.
when you turn your comp on keep pressing f8 until you get the menu screen, then select safe mode, after you've downloaded it, simply restart and it automatically restarts in normal mode.
