I had to reinstall MS OFFice to a new folder on a new drive using a new operating system, because my other system crashed. The new ME OS was installed in a seperate folder on the C drive, in order to not lose all my data. Now I'm going through getting all my data, and transfering the data to the newly installed programs. (I have to reinstall all programs and am doing so on a different drive). So I looked in the old C drive in the old MS Office files for my outlook emails, and can not find them. I can't find any file that I think would be the Outlook calender, contacts, emails. I need to recover those emails, as they have important information in them, that I cannot recover any other way. Does anyone know how to find the file? What the file is called? The file extension? Then I can search for the file.
As a note, I already tried importing, and that didn't work, because Outlook 2000 would not go looking on another drive, or even in another folder for that matter, when it is Outlook 2000 files I am looking for. That just confuses the program, and it looks only in its own folder.
Thank you for help.

You're looking for a pst file. That's the one that contains your e-mails, contacts, journal, calendar, tasks, etc...
