I'm trying to find the Compressed Folder Command which should be under File-New-Compressed.All mine shows is: Folder and Shortcut. There's supposed to be another selection for Compressed Folder. Any help appreciated.

I don't know my way around windows as well as DOS. Maybe someone else can help, but I think you need to rephrase the question. Are you talking about Drvspace? Are you talking about PKZIP which is Shareware you buy, or is there some compression tool for files that comes with Windows? Apparently, I can't find mine either.

Windows ME has a feature called: 'Compressed Folder', which, basically takes the place of WinZip, but is totally compatible with WinZip. This feature is built into Windows ME, whereas in Win 98 Plus, you actually installed this feature. Still need to kmow if anyone has found it in their Win ME under File-New-Compressed Folder.

Ok I had this problem. It usually happens when you've installed some other compression utility which has associated itself with ZIP files. Here's the solution. Go to Control Panel,Add remove programs,Windows setup,System tools,Details. Untick the Comressed folders box then click OK then click APPLY. Windows will then uninstall this utility and prompt you to restart. Restart your system then do exactly as above but this time tick the empty box. Compressed folders should once again be installed. To check right click on the desktop and goto NEW. You should see compressed folders. Goodluck and let me know if it works ok. ASHY.
