Can't Download GAME! HELP

I recently bought Sims: HOT DATE but everytime I try to install it an error comes up saying I don't have enough free space. When I have 40 gigs of memory. How do I get it to work? Can anyone help please?

do you have 40 gigs of available (not total) hard disk space? Try booting to safe mode and running scandisk and defrag.
