cant disable system restore

hello, I have Klez virus and have downloaded a removal tool that requires disabling the system restore in the control panel. I am unable to disable the system restore after several attempts. I tried to boot from the ME disk but could never get to the prompt to enter a:deltree c:/restore . What to do? thanks

Does windows still boot normally? What sort of problems are you having when you try and disable it? Have you tried to do it in safe mode? Also Have you tried this way yet: right click on "my computer" and goto properties click performance tab and then file system button under troubleshooting tab, click on disable system restore.
