Can someone please tell me how to delete this file. I delete it, it comes back. I send it to the recycle bin, it comes back. I try to delete the folder, access denied. I can't even get an answer from MS. Do I have to reinstall and leave WMP unchecked?

Thanks for all replies.

WOW. i searched for that (mplayer2.exe)here with windows XP and it opened up the old windows media player. version 6.4. The one that comes with windows 2k. No skin junk no slow loading. wmplayer.exe is what launches wmp 8.0. in XP. Why would they have both of these installed? Hopefully someone here knows.

WMP7 is nothing more than a front end for WMP6. WMP7 uses mplayer2.exe. mplayer2 is also used when playing files on a webpage. it cannot be deleted.
