Hi,
Have trouble connecting to the internet via LAN, when using my ethernet card.
Seem constantly to get this error msg:"The Page Cannot Be Displayed"
Have confirmed that my settings are the same as others on the LAN and the rest of the LAN is accessible to me, just not Internet.
Fond some stuff on Microsoft Webpages, however, all tips include messing about with the registry which, frankly, I'm a bit reluctant to do.
Any other suggestions?
Anyone else experienced the same problems with ME?Cheers
Dan

First see if it is a DNS issue.
Open a command prompt. Type in ping yahoo.com and see if you get a responce. If you cant ping that try the IP address.
Ping 66.218.71.198 If you get a responce here and not at the Yahoo.com one then your issue is with DNS or proxy.
Are you using a proxy?
Reply back with the results we can try a few things.
