Hi everyone, After many helping minds, I was able to rid my computer of an access denied file belonging to the zone alarm firewall. My problem now is when I try to get on the net, I get this posted on the screen - cannot find server-. What is my next move, thanking you in advance for any help you can give me, your other help finally freed my computer, hopefully you can give me an answer so I can use the computer to jump on the net, charlie

hello you problem is incredibly vague and could be caused by ANYTHING....even a loose telephone jack connection to your modem! have you tried to do anything? if so, tell us what u have done. i expereinced a similar problem, but my solution, after trips to a computer technician, was to completely recover my system. i uninstalled zonealarm, because apparently that was the cause of my problems.

Hi Zed, My computer was working perfectly until I went to install Zone alarm. The program would not load saying file were missing, in fact they were located in the windows/system sector.For some reason za could not see them, with the help of Raymond, Dave, Deke, Chappie, Don and one other techie, I was able to free my computer of za. Now the computer can't access the net. Za finally emailed me to try to load the pgm to uninstall it, I was afaid to do it at first, but said have nothing to lose since I could not get on the net. To make a long story short, now with or without za I get these messages- I.E. could not open search page- the page cannot be displayed- cannot find server or dns error-. I am relying on the computing.net techies to hopefully come up with an answer so I can use my computer on the internet. Thanking you in advance for any help you can give me, charlie
