cant access hotmail nor google ?

First: i use internet on a lynksys wireless network. I use mozilla mainly (and some IE). I emptied all my temp files and cache. I ran avast and adaware. And registry mechanics. The computer host gets on google on the network. I can get on www.hotmail.com, but my logon wont get through. As for google, it says:operation timed out. I can use msn messenger. What can I do then. I read some posts found with yahoo.com... some say it could be the router... which i havent tried to reboot yet. Some advices ?
