Do any of you know if the ink used in these printers is toxic? If a child picked up a piece of paper and ate it would it make them sick? This is only a hypothetical ?, this has not happened. I just want to be prepared if grandchild ever did this. Thanks.
That's Canon's Safety site. Just enter the information for printer/ink you're using, and you can view the MSDS...

Just an example. Here's what it says regarding injestion of the Black GPR-5 Toner:
"Low Acute Toxicity. Injestion is a minor route of entry for intended use of this product." It then gives steps for treatment in case of injestion. So, basically, it's not fatal, kinda like the pen ink some of my fellow fifth graders ate....

I usually drink about 8 oz. each morning. It seems to give me extra energy throuout the day. The downside is that my co workers don't like the dark color in my mouth when I talk to them. It usually takes several hours for the color to dissapear.
