Comment:

I have "All American Nascar Racing 2" that I can't uninstall. I tried to uninstall it from add/remove and from the start menu where it says "uninstall Nascar."
Everytime I click on uninstall in either one, it tells me
"logfile'C:\Sierra\Nascar2\uninst.isu' is not valid or the data has been corrupted. Uninstall will not continue."

I get this message from both add/remove programs and from the start menu, under the Sierra Nascar game program uninstall. Why is it that I can't remove this game?
Can anyone please help me, and guide me through the removal of this game?
Thanks to anyone that can help.

have you tried going into "My computer/C Drive/program files" then manually deleting the sierra folder ?

But if you do that you will need to go into "My computer/C Drive/windows/startup" and delete the shortcut aswell

And you'll want to remove any reference to Sierra (if it's the only Sierra program) and/or Nascar2 from the registry using Start / run / Regedit.

Do backup the registry BEFORE hacking away at it. If it gets you in trouble it can be restored.

if you cant uninstall it, try re-installing it over itself and then uninstall it.

All this is telling you is the uninstall file is no good. You can uninstall a program using various 3rd party utilities such as JV16's Powertools which will remove all registry entries and program detail for you and afterwards just delete the relevant directories. Shared DLL's (libraries of information called dynamically on demand by the executable file) may still reside on your system afterwards but these should not cause you any trouble.

I take it that the reason you're uninstalling it was the game was no good?

Regards,

Mark
