Cannot get into my documents

I have windows me and when I go to my documents or my computer it will freeze up. Then I have to do control alt delete to start over. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Check CPU temperature.
Run scandisk.

You may have spies in there. Install latest Ad Aware 1.5 (Lavasoft)it's really good. I had Ad Aware 6 but installed the later version a couple of days ago, it found 118 trackers which not only slow down a pc they cause it to freeze etc
