cannot find server

I have tried to install 3 different isp, but constantly get a message 'cannot find server'. i have windows ME. could you help me?

Clean out your Temporary internet files and your history and then retry. If that doesn't work let us know.

Often times when those directories get too full I will recieve the same thing.

After doing the above, if you are still having a problem...

Connect to the net and try to ping:

Connect to the internet.
Go to start>>run>>command.
At the prompt type:

ping 209.90.0.4

and hit enter.


Some information will be returned.
Post the packets received and packets lost here.

Next type:

ping sky.net

and hit enter.

Post the packets received and packets lost here.

That will give us a better understanding of what is going on.
