Can Virus Win32Pin do this?

Will this virus cause a slow reaction time when i type in a search using the blinking cursor. The page pauses for 15 sec., then delivers the "Search results" . Surfing the web is finw as long as I don't enter a search inquiry..For example; changing boxes to enter this message took roughly 2 min. Outlook Express takes 30-40 secs. to load also. Only these examples are affected. Norton Anti-virus took off the Win32Pin virus already. Maybe the virus had been on too long for NAV to repair these files . Hope this makes sense.
