cmd won't work from the Run box. You need to go to Accessories, and select msdos prompt. Although, I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say se.dll. What's the name of the spyware that's infected the machine? You shouldn't have to use the command window to remove anything though...

SE.DLL

WinME runs from a true DOS subsystem, so 'command' (not CMD) should work, as well as the 'DOS prompt' shortcut

Removing bits & pieces of spyware etc. from DOS is not the preferred method, and may well be doomed to failure (as well as maybe make things worse). Registry edits, either manually or by use of tools such as HJT!, Ad-aware, Spybot etc are the way to go, in addition to removal of the offensive files. It's not always a simple process.

Freqently infections persist by virtue of lodging themselves in 'System Restore' - if the restore ponts are infected, they should be dumped (turned off)

ive done all tht HJT and panda online active scan and all tht rot, the problem is no matter how many times i remove SE.Dll it keeps coming back, but thts not the prob, panda scan keeps picking up ghost files tht cant be seen when running windows, and yes ive got show all hidden and system files on.

the only way i can view and delete them is through command prompt, but every time i type command in run nothing happens its like i never press ok, yet msconfig and regedit works fine, i just dont know wats wrong
