Can Explorer show folder size?

Hi When I go into Explorer and click (for example) on the C:\ directory, I get a number of icons corresponding to the files and folders within this directory. If I then click on View>Details, a list appears showing further information including the size of all the files. However, the MB contained within the folders is not included in this list. This information, nevertheless, is readily available if I go to each individual folder and right-click>properties. Can anybody help to me to get the folder size, along with the file sizes, to show up directly in the details list? TIA Paul

Paul0887, if you RIGHTCLICK the folder and select properties and look at the general tab, see if it doesn't list megabytes. Mine does. HTH. Ed in Texas.

Ed in Texas Thanks for your reply. What you say is correct and I have this too. However, my problem is that, while I can readily see the MB contained in each folder on an individual basis (by right-clicking>Properties), what I want is that the MB (or GB or whatever) are listed in the Details view of the particular folder (for example, the C:\ drive) I happen to be looking at. At present, the files that I have in C:\ are contained in this Details list with the size in MB included. The filders, however, appear but without any number in the Size column. How do I get the Folders to display their size as the Files already do? Paul

Hi In case anybody is interested, I have solved this problem very nicely with a program called ViewFolderSize Version 4.0. This works very well with WinMEand does exactly what I wanted which is to include the folder sizes (along with the file sizes) in the Details view in Windows Explorer. I got a number of suggestions from another NewsGroup but none, in my opinion, surpassed ViewFolderSize. If you want it, it´s easy to find via Google. However, it´s not free and costs $15 Paul
