Hi All,
I just upgraded to ME, the upgrade went smoothly, the next day the comp froze on the acer logo. I was checking the cable connectors and now I am not sure what post is used for the C drive. Is it the connector closest to the floppy connector or is it the second connector fron the floppy.Next I will try to figure out why the computer hangs up at the acer screen,
thanking you for your help,
frank

Look closely at the MB. It will have markings like IDE0 and IDE1 near the connector. Or it might be IDE1 and IDE2.
Use the lowest mumbered one.

If you can't see any identifying marks, try the one on the outside of the MB.
