Is it possible to change a setting in the bios or somewhere else that would allow my computer to boot without showing the black and white bios boot screen and just go to windows? Pentium III , Award bios. Thanks

It wouldnt matter if the screen was there or not. The boot time would be the same still. It only shows that during post. Hold Tab when the screen appears to see what is going on behind it.

I understand the boot time would still be the same but on my xp machine I don't see that screen and I like it better. I will try what you suggested though. Thanks

Unless youre motherboard has a bootup image like some pentium boards and amd etc then no you can't, if like on many WinMe machines i've seen, the boot image stays for like a second then there is noithing you can do about it. Normally it is called shadow boot or silent boot up on motherboards if they have the ability to show a pre made image that stays till windows is laoded.
