When you are ready to install windows just set your bios to boot up cd rom first. Format your hardrive. I would split the drive so you will be able to run a ghost.your disk should install without a boot disk. Hope you succeed with your project.

Phat,

No, a system disk from ME will be no good to you in trying to install 2K. You can make one from that box though. Go to "www.bootdisk.com" and you'll find files that will create whatever version of a bootup disk you want.

ciao,
wired

If you have a decent size hard drive & it's partitioned, I'd keep ME on one partition & install 2000 on another...creating a dual boot system.

okay. i did what you said wired and downloaded the files that were there for windows 2000.

i unzipped them and i get a bunch of files with extension .img

do i just copy these onto a floppy or do i need to run them in something to further extract files off of them
