Help, I've been hijacked, My internet explorer keeps on setting it self to a different home page every 1 or 2 days, and when it goes to that page, it opens the cd roms and says something about controling my computer. I've been hijacked before. Ad-aware and spybot aren't fixing this problem. Ad-aware finds it as a possible hijack and takes it out, but it still keeps on coming back every few days, I updated ad-aware, and spybot does not have any updates. but still doesn't work...Please help....Adam

Antivirus from dos for added protection.Update regularly and run from time to time.F-prot is updated weekly or more often these days.

Read response number 4.F-prot antivirus is effective to the point of correcting two infections on a single file and restoring the files to their original condition.Backdoor and other malware are deleted.
Good luck.

ceilingfan1978, another thing to try, (may not help, can't hurt) is to DISABLE RESTORE, scan & fix again, re-enable restore. Maybe your nasty is hiding in there and being rewritten???
HTH.
