I have just gone onto Broadband using the BT Voyager USB software, my Q? is, now that this has freed up my phone land line, is there a way that I can use a headset/mic to make calls while I am on the computer. Do I need extra hardware/software to achieve this?

You have me confused here. If you freed up your phone line by going broadband, then why not just pick up the phone to make your calls. You will still be connected to the internet regardless. As far as making calls through you computer: I have been working with a cable modem for years. I can not fax or make calls through the cable line. If there is a way, my cable company must be keeping it a secret...

Ummm I guess if you wanna make calls from your computer you can, provided your phone modem is still installed, but why would you wanna. I am with Bigpond Cable (Australia) and they are offering trial phone calls from my PC, and if I read it right they where more expensive than the regular phone line and only outgoing calls at that. Never the less sooner or later we aint gonna need a phone line. By the way have you checked out one of the free phone programs a couple of cents a call they say. Mike
