Hi guys,
I have 3 HDs on my PC,Win ME is on the first,
I've installed Boot Magic to be able to install Win 98 on the 2nd drive but now it hides my 2nd and 3rd drive and I can't unhide them anymore even with Partition Magic. At the reboot they remain hidden and I can't get to all my mp3s.

I hope I haven't lost them all...HELP

Bill

I suppose you have also partition magic. You should be able to see and unhide your partition with it. the setup of boot magic is suppose to give you the choice of your windows at startup but if your file is on the partition of another os you cannot access it try to put your file on a separate partition so you ca see them with anyone of your os.

Point...every bit of information on installing win98 sez that it must be installed on the C: drive. It's just the way it works. Here is a direct quote..."even if you attempt to install windows 95/98/me is any drive other than C, Windows 95/98/ME will always add and remove many files on drive C, and the migration problems are still present.".

I researched the multi-boot issue for a long time, printed numerous howtos, and eventually purchased for $60 a copy of system commander 7, which turned out to be a good decision for me. SC7 has several wizards, including two on partitioning, as well as the OS Wizard which guides you thru the process of installing multiple os on same or separate drives. I was disappointed to learn that 95/98/me had to be on the same drive, but with sc7, no problem. sc7 re-partitioned my 80gb drive with 20gb of data without a hitch. So far, I have ME on the first drive and red hat on the second drive. all works well.

Hope this is of some help.

Morris
