Hi, I just formatted my hard disk. I want to install win ME & i have gotten my cd-rom dos driver. Is there a particular directory to install my cd-rom driver in my harddisk? Because i installed it into directory C:\ & from bios setting i set the boot sequence to cd rom being first then c: , then a: , but the error is Boot from Cd-rom Failure. Can anyone help me?

i just use a bootdisk with cd-rom support and change to drive e: and type setup. the cd has to be bootable to boot from it. the error you are getting is that the cd isn't bootable. if you need bootdisk ,get a self extracting one at http://jason-n3xt.org/dos/#OTHERDISKS
