Hi All,
I recently had a load of viruses, which after a while I successfully got rid of and am now virus free. Everything seems to be back to normal, except when I insert a CD in my CDROM drive (IDE Teac 4x4x24 CDRW), I get a blue screen error that gives error number: 0D:0028:00000003, or it seems to have recently changed to 0E:0028:00000000. The computer is unrecoverable after the blue screen. Weirdly, this does not happen with my secondary IDE device - my DVD drive - which works fine. I'm on a HP Athlon 1GHz, 192Mb, tnt II. I've tried removing the devices, doing a scanreg, and removing the HD controller and letting it re-add itself, nothing fixes the problem. Any suggestions or help greatly appreciated.

Which version of what burning software are you using? Adaptec, Nero, something else?
Have you tried removing the burning software and seeing if the problem goes away?
You can reinstall it later, but remove it to test.
