Hi,
I've just a new computer but it keeps crashing when I'm on the internet.First the blue screen comes on saying Error OE: 0028: FF06C20C What the hell does all this mean? After this the whole system locks up.You can't even restart using the keyboard. The shop where I got the computer can't think of anything either... Failing anybody knowing does anybody know where I can look up these error messages? I've tried putting them in the search engine but nothing comes up.

Finally someone who has EXACTLY the same problem as I do!!!! I've just posted a message here about the same problem I've been having. It's driving me nuts and it's been going on for almost a year. I got my computer from Dell and they haven't a clue either. We've tested everything, even replaced hard drive, to no avail. I'm starting to think it's the motherboard. I get several different error messages always with Error: 0028 followed by a number and it's always on the Internet, although I occasionally get blue screen crashes while using a CDROM. Here's the link to my message posting. If you have any luck in solving this, I'd love to know.

mick_pye,may not be an answer for you but,...OE is part of IE and maybe, just maybe, your copy has somehow gotten corrupted. Think I would attempt to repair IE and see if that makes a difference.
In case you are unfamiliar with how to do that, act like you are gonna remove IE under 'Add/remove' and one of the options is repair. Try that. Note that we are speaking of IE here, not OE. HTH.

You should do a search at the Microsoft site, there are sections on error messages, they should get you straightened out, also follow instructions to get ME to run well, posted here, just do a search for Running ME well 5.
