well i can be on my computer for up to two hours then theis bloody beeping starts and i have no clue how to get it to stop ..apparantly its has something to do with the cpu ..if anyone can help id be most greatfull

Maybe a high CPU warning via BIOS ?
Might want to look inside and see if dust and the like is gumming the cooling fans...just a thoughtKeep the old stuff running

"OS: god knows"
True enough, omniscience is a trait of deities - - still, it's not unreasonable to expect you to be aware of the version of Windows you're running - the assumption is WinME, based on forum choice (although that's far from guaranteed)
As suggested, could be a heat warning - you might consider installing temperature monitoring software to determine if this is the case - you could also take a look at the BIOS - maybe the alarm settings are too low

oh yeah my operating system is win ME ..sorry, at the time i dint know what os stood for ...yeah ive cleaned the fans and stuff inside and its still doing it ..how do i go about changing my BIOS settings
?

BIOS settings are accessed through the CMOS setup program, which you invoke by a keypress or key combination during system startup, usually just after the memory count
There should be instructions onscreen - otherwise:You'd be looking for system health or hardware monitor, etc.
If it is a heat problem, and your alarm settings aren't too low, it may be that you'd need to clean & reapply the thermal compound between the heatsink and CPU
