I am having a bios using Award. It version is 6.00PG
I am also having not knowing what is the version for and it has a version of 24.08 (6.06HW) before flashing.
After flashing (downloading form HP), it's version became 24.08 (10.01HW). No extra feature.
And i went to a site that has a "awdflash.exe" at a version 7.40 or something like that. It did not indicate the support.
I wanted to ask that this program "awdflash.exe" is it use-able for bios with the brand "award"? Is it to upgrade the 6.00PG?
What is the different to flash a award version 6.00PG and the one with another version - (24.08) 10.01HW?

First off why are you flashing the BIOS?
1. Never flash the BIOS unless it is a last resort! (you can do more harm then good)
2. What new features are you looking for. Most flashs are to allow the PC to recognize larger hard drives and such. No "new features" get added.

lol.. i almost got burned once.. HP offered a bios upgrade about 2 years ago and i went for it.. followed directions and all went well. About a year later another upgrade was made available. I decided what the hey and followed directions but instead of working the text on screen started flipping out flying up and down the monitor like one of those old tv's that needed to be adjusted.
The upgrade wouldnt take. I had to kill the power. Luckily i didnt kill the system. And thats right.. i tried it like 3 more times pressing my luck :).
Moral of the story is to forget about flashing the bios. Do what i do every time i start to fiddle with the hardware..Find yourself some complicated software and experiment with it instead.
