On an E-Machine the POST is not visible on the Screen because the E-Machine Logo is covering it up. I need to know the BIOS Version in order to download an onboard Driver. Does Anyone know how to eliminate the E-Machine Logo in order for me to make those Information visible?

Langener, the instructions following are specifically for M$, but suspect they'll also apply to E machines. Make the '1' a '0' without changing the logo and it should work. If you want a different logo, that can be done too.
"Removing splash screen
The easiest way would be to download tweakui from M$. The other way to do it is to modify the msdos.sys Click on START - PROGRAMS - MSDOS PROMPT Enter attrib -r -s -h C:\MSDOS.SYS Enter notepad c:\msdos.sys Look for LOGO=1 Change to LOGO=0 (zero) Save the file and return to the msdos window. Enter attrib +r +s +h c:\MSDOS.SYS Close the msdos window. It won't display."

Or dowload either Belarc Advisor from
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
or Aida 32 from
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download181.html
Both programs - FREE!! - will give you the info (and a lot more besides) you want.

Those instructions would be for disabling the Windows logo - the POST info (and presumably the eMachines logo) would appear well before the DOS boot process begins
There may be an option in the BIOS, but any decent hardware analyzer can give you the info, as suggested (Belarc, Aida, Everest, etc etc)If you get people asking the wrong questions, you don't have to worry about the answers

I found this on a search. Looks like just what the doctor ordered. You will most likely need to run it in DOS. That doesn't mean in a 'DOS window'; it means boot in DOS.

If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.M2

jboy was right, this only applies to the Windows Logo. But I did take the C-MOS Battery out for a few seconds that kept the
E-Machine Logo way long enough at the next Boot for me to write the Information down.
Thanks again.

That's good - still, wouldn't hurt to try one of those system analyzers - you never know what you might need to know (and you can save or print the results).
glad it all worked out
