wow, those ARE big problems. I would start with an emergency system restore disc. If that doesn't work I would say reload ME. Thats really the only thing you can do.

Don,

"When I start up pc it takes me to safe mode"

It does say that, in the four corners of the screen, yes??

"Cant choose normal as says there is new hardware. Cant find drivers."

So, you're getting a startup menu, yes?? And you are getting a prompt about new hardware found, if you start in normal mode. And it can't find the drivers, for the new hardware. Do I understand what you're saying so far?

Have you tried, a previous registry that worked?? Start the computer with a startup/boot disk. At the..... Tell you what, please try a Site Search of computing.net, in the Windows Me forum for restore registry. Did you add new hardware, before this BIG problem?? Might be, could be display dri problems. If you need help with what you find in the search, or continued help on this problem. Respond to This question you asked. Thanks

Good Luck,
CrazyOne

or you could remove all of the pci/isa cards with the exception of the video card and see if it boots. if not, try a different video card.
