I am presently using a Compaq Presario 1200, Pentium III with 312 available ram. As I use this laptop only to present Power Point presentations, I have disabled all startup programs except for sys tray, scanreg, touch pad and state mgr. This leaves me with 95 percent resources at start up. My presentations have quite a bit of animations and graphics. My Vcache is enabled with no min or max cache numbers designated. I have removed all scheduled tasks. Even with this amount of resources, I still sometimes get a drag on certain graphic slides, although most of the movie files play fine. Does anybody have any further suggestions which may increase smoothness and transitions. I have set my display settings at 1024x768 and 32 bit true color. I really have a lot of problems understanding resolution anyway and seem to have a problem when showing through a projector, as I have to turn off my laptop display to get full screen, but that is another issue and will probably live with this. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
