I just used the WinMe driver for my Samsung DVD,my mobo also recognized the player.The best proggy to use to'view' DVD movies is WinDVD or compareable others........

The best program for DVD playback in my experience is PowerDVD by Cyberlink. I have tested PowerDVD 2.0 against WinDVD 2000 and PowerDVD kicks the hell out of it for performace, runs lovely. I downloaded a trial version of PowerDVD 3.0 and that is even better, incredibly clear and not at all jittery......cheetsy
