When you save a file is there a backup file made automatically? There used to be a way to retreive the file in its previous saved state. Can you still do that?

a .bak file is the previous .bat file after modify. You can access it using dos and copy it to the .bat .Care, there's not always a rescue file made in windows...

If I use the "search" to find the "filename.bak" and "filename.bat" files and dont find anything does that mean I dont have a .bak for that file?
