Now that I have the space, I would like to backup my files, and how much mb does it take, and If I back up my files do I just say C Drive, I really don't need to copy windows me, since I have a copy, I don't have a tape backup. Thanks for the help. Sue

If you have a CD-RW, you can back up your files that way (as you say, skip Windows). Then you have space for up to 600 MB of data. You could also backup to a Zip Drive if you have one. Or to another partition. I suppose you could even backup on your main partition, but it seems pointless, since if that one goes, you will lose the backup too.
I usually backup my documents, all of my saved game files, my favorites, etc. That is, all of those things I have set up, established, and built myself.
Another option, which I use, is to run Norton Ghost. You can use it to "take a picture" so to speak of an entire partition. Then, if you have to replace something, just reformat the partition and load up the picture.
Just a few suggestions.

Is all you have is one partition and one hard drive export your address book, bookmarks, E-mail and any file that you make to floppys. The next time you hose your system add a hard drive or create an additional partition. Then you will have your info reasonably safe. If your hard drive breaks (they sometimes do especially after the warrenty runs out)nothing will be salvageable. Allways back up important stuff to off machine media. A CDR would make a good investment....Have a good day!
