From dos type,
scanregw/restore or try scanreg/restore Hope this works.

Hi,
normally when ever you start your PC it make backup copy of your registry, scanreg /restore is one way you could also go to safe mode it will open a help page for you click on restore and it will show you a calender click on one of the dates that are bold and it will restore the registry from that date.

When you run Scanreg /restore or scanregw /restore, you probably will need to put a space before /.
