backing up files using windows. m.e.

i can't seem to find instructions in the help section on how to back up files. i need to back up a 27 megabyte c.d. rom onto standard diskettesd, so i can than "restore" them to another computer that lacks a c.d. rom drive. i don't have a zip drive. can anyone tell me how to do this? the instructions in the M.E. edition are not as clear as in earlier windows editions.
