Hi Everyone, My question is about updating AVG free version, I downloaded the most recent file yesterday but it didn't autoinstall as files in the past have. AVG knows that the file is there and promts me to reboot so the installation can complete, however, after reboot it gives the same promt message. I can't update, anyone have a solution? The same download worked fine on my Win98 machine.

Hi LU89,
I have seen problems with the update due to the date/time being set wrong. Check to ensure it is correct.

LU89, I too use AVG and ME and my update (459) went fine. Do you supose your copy is corrupted? After I restarted, 459 installed as usual and is the current update according to the info tab on AVG. HTH. Ed in Texas.

Hi Ed in Texas,
I'm starting to think that it is corrupted. Also suggested on another forum(Thanks edsod), I will try deleting the D/L file I have and try again.
I also have the same problem, it dosent seem to be a corrupt download for me. The fix I use is to manually download the update from AVG's site and drop it in the "C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG6\UPDATE\" folder. The next time you start AVG it will update automaticly.
