I am running WinMe and IE 5.5sp1. Auto-Disconnect is not functioning. I have "Disconnect when connection may not be needed" checked and there are no other internet using programs running when I shut down IE. What's up?

Found my solution: If the Auto Disconnect dialog does not pop up any longer when you close the browser, then there is a program running that is holding the internet access. Windows thinks that something is using the Dial-Up connection. You have to find out what that is and close it. This can be done several ways. You can close everything in your task bar, then the tray, then the task manager, and once you have figured out what the culprit is, you need to figure out whether you want it running any longer or if you are just stuck without a proper disconnect dialog. You can figure out the trial-and-error for yourself. As for myself, it was Adaptec's tray utility "Create CD" that for some reason was holding the Dial-Up session. Once I removed it was no longer running and removed from starting up, my Auto Disconnect worked like a champ! Hope this helped....
