I am using windowsMe at the moment and this new mother board I bought through ebay has a new via chipset. I can't even get sound to come through it i'm not sure exactly what kind of socket A Board this is but the users manual says kt133tx/kt133bx well every thing else seems to work ok except the sound. Should I just buy a new sound card? I tried an old sound blaster 16 but I get this awful crackle sound when I use it. Please help me out here I havent encountered any problems like this before thank you for your time.
I'v got this board for my son. So far its working fine. I install the Via drivers from the CD that came with the MB. Works great, with all the games he plays. Plays EQ the most.
